We have just recently added a new Musser M-55 vibraphone to our inventory of rental instruments. Our percussion manager Loren Watson is crazy about the new frame design of the M-55 it is adjustable and easy to move around. To make it even more portable we had Coy, the owner of C and D case company build a custom travel case for us.
We choose the M-55 because it is the touring musicians vibraphone of choice. With a 3 octave Pro-Vibe the M-55 was created for easy transport and excellent performance. The classic tone of the Musser is derived from bars that are tuned by hand and resonators that are mitered and arched. The sustain pedal swivels for precision feel, and the motor with variable speed is padded to ensure quiet when in use. Exact control comes from a damper bar that is adjustable and a suspension system that is distortion free.
Our M-55 was used first by Gary Burton for a recording session and was recently rented by Steve Nelson for a live performance. Jay Holgard also used the M-55 in our rehearsal studio and for a live performance also. We continue to update our percussion inventory which is the largest in the US at this time because we understand the needs of the touring professional. We welcome. feedback and comments on the Musser M-55 If you would like a quote for rental of the Musser M-55 just drop us a line or visit the link below:

We have a new Pearl Reference drum kit! From the Pearl website: “The mission behind Reference Series: To create a perfect sounding drum set where every drum is optimally engineered to produce the best sound possible within its respective tonal range and diameter… drum by drum by drum. Forget what you think you know about drums and take a closer look at Pearl’s Reference Recipe and the synergy of its three task-specific components.”
These are some gorgeous drums, a truly great rock sound -very controlled with optimal tone and warmth for each drum, great for recording, with Pearl’s Crystal Rain finish.
In July we had the pleasure of having Herbie Hancock and his band at Carroll Studios for 3 days. Of course they sounded amazing and as usual the production staff lead by Bill Winn was super cool and very professional.
